The internet is a beautiful thing, because it lets you sign up for newsletters that your local libraries, museums, symphony, and theaters put together and send out for free. 3. Set Up Automatic Bill Pay or an Alarm

If you have a hard time remembering to pay your bills on time, setting up your bills to automatically pay themselves or a recurring alarm on your phone can save you a ton in overdue fees throughout the year. There’s no need to pay the utility companies, the cable company (see #1 about this) your student loans, or anyone else more money than you need, when the process is usually as easy as going into your online banking system and setting your bills to be paid on a specific day each month, or setting up an additional alarm for your bills on your phone, right next to your daily morning one. Kiss overdue fees goodbye and start planning that summer vacation for next year instead.

4. Think Used Before New

Let’s be clear about this, there are some things that should always be new rather than used, so use your best judgement here. But there are plenty of things that are just as good used as they are new, and far less expensive. If you’re in the market for large pieces of furniture, such as bookcases, tables, and even entertainment systems, check out a consignment shop first. Used bookstores are great for all of your literary and school needs (you may even find helpful notes in the margins!), and we all know that shelter pets are far superior to pet store pets by now, right?

5. Make Your Own Coffee

A coffee maker seems to be a standard appliance in every home, so why not make use of it? It may seem like it would take more time to get out the door in the morning by adding one more item to your to do list but sitting in a drive through line on the way to work probably takes longer honestly. And then you’re not only giving someone else money to make a drink you could make at home, but you’re wasting gas while waiting in that line! Morning coffee is an absolute necessity for most people, so feel free to splurge a little on nicer coffee beans at the grocery store, then fire up that beautiful machine that’s sitting in your kitchen, and you’ve saved money. I am 57 years old, divorced, and searching for my true purpose. About four years ago, I started blogging, coaching, and supporting the community through my popular talk show on traditional media platforms and social media. This is my passion, and I want to make enough money doing it to support myself. I feel like I am on the verge of making myself a public figure or celebrity, but I don’t know what my next steps should be. Is this my true purpose and if so, how can I continue to serve the community while also making money? I am more than just a good speaker.

It’s great to hear from you and thank you for your question. When a client asks, “What is my true purpose in life,” it’s exciting because this is one of my favorite types of psychic readings, mainly because the answer is always good news!

I believe that we each have come to the planet for a special reason and that everyone has a true purpose. But sometimes we need a reminder of what that true purpose is. Your true purpose is always there to develop whenever you are ready. As I focus on your energy through my cards, I can see that your divorce was a major turning point; a time where you began to ask questions about what matters most in your life. While there were probably some disappointments and things you had to let go of, your divorce was also the beginning of a wonderful adventure.

I am being shown that you will be very successful. Also, you’re on the right track! You’ve made a lot of positive choices, and seeds you are planting now will come to fruition in the summer and fall months. For you, being patient is sometimes a challenge, but it is good for you to move at a steady pace. The past few years have been laying a foundation for what is to come.

Some project you are working on will be helpful for both adults and children. Make sure to consider all the marketing possibilities. There will also be a book that will help your clients better understand the principles you are teaching. My guides are showing me that you need more structure. You’ve taken a lot of actions and have enjoyed some success, but you need a “road map” with a clear sense of where you want to go. I suggest you consider hiring a consultant if you haven’t already. I know you’ve been thinking about it. The money you spend will be worth it. Some of your frustration and doubt comes from the fact that you aren’t always sure if you’re making the right decisions. Trust your intention. Spirit will never let you down when you’re following your true purpose.

I do believe that you will have recognition in your field; the end of the year brings an award or very important opportunities to take your work to the next level and enjoy great financial abundance. In the meantime, the main focus is on delivering the best speeches you can, and continue to build your profile on social media. There is a definite need in the world for what you have to offer.

The biggest obstacle I see for you is that you often feel regret that you didn’t start earlier. These thoughts can make you feel restless and, at times, discouraged. The timing is perfect right now for your career. Even your divorce is something that you can use to inspire women and men who are following a similar path. 26 is too young to be burned out! Caregiving is a physically and emotionally demanding job, and it’s rare that someone works as long as you have in that field for just that reason—even if it’s their passion. The way you worded your question makes me wonder, have you had a hard time finding a job, or have you had a hard time finding a job you’re passionate about? You are young enough to try a variety of jobs, and build your skill set into something other than being a caregiver, which would help you in two ways. First, you would get the opportunity to try new work opportunities, uncover hidden talents, and even do something that excites you! Secondly, it would add to your work skills. Basic skills like cash-handling, office procedures, and customer service can be carried into a variety of careers.

If you aren’t particularly passionate about a job opportunity, say, for instance, receptionist and office support at a roofing company, look at it instead as an opportunity to learn on the job, get those skills, master them, and move onward and upward to your next learning opportunity. The best part is that you get paid to learn, rather than paying for schooling that may or may not bring you a career you are passionate about. Even temporary job assignments can help you motivate yourself with the prospect of new challenges, new procedures to learn, new software to master, and so on. Your local workforce center can help you find these jobs, and also provide free training. Take advantage of everything they can offer you!

It’s always been natural for me to help others with their careers and give them money guidance. I’ve been career-oriented from an early age. Now, I’m in the season of my life where I choose to be “living on purpose.” This means I want to do the work that’s purposeful to me. 2. What’s the most common question you get about careers? How do you answer it?
The most common question I get is: “Will there be an opportunity for promotion or career advancement?” The advice I offer for this type of question certainly varies from person to person. Everyone and their current work situation is unique. There’s no blanket advice for all. Some people have done the spiritual development and physical work (i.e. research, refining their communication skills, executing tasks effectively, and so on). A lot of the time, I can see that a promotion or opportunity for a promotion is coming up. I can see whether it’s going to happen, whether it’s with their current company, or if they will need to consider looking elsewhere.

However, I can also see that some people have done absolutely nothing to align themselves with drawing in positive opportunities. My work then becomes about offering guidance so they take inspired action, do the research, and study to apply what skill sets and attributes are required for opportunities. I will guide them to tools they might need, levels of awareness, books, and also teachers who can help equip them for growth. I’m taking a growing number of regular clients through these steps and they are having great success.

3. What advice do you have for first-time job seekers?
The first piece of advice I give is to remember to take conscious, deep breaths and relax. Job-hunting can be nerve wracking, but I tell clients to treat it all like an adventure because it is. Some people will change career paths throughout their lives, to gain experience or try out other industries, and going through this process can help them refine what their purpose is, and what they are truly passionate about. This experience also adds variety to their lives, which can only be a positive thing.

I remind my first-time job seekers that not everyone knows what they want to do coming out of school, so try not to take life so seriously. They don’t have to forge success in one particular industry right away. It’s okay not to know. Life is a myriad of experiences and as long as my clients stay true to who they are, and do their absolute best to learn and grow from every work experience, it will always direct them to their next right step.

4. What advice do you have for people looking to switch careers?
Switching careers is like starting your first-ever job all over again. So, again, I remind callers to focus on conscious, deep breaths throughout the whole process and I remind them that they are guided by their own internal guidance system, otherwise known as intuition. If you are looking to switch careers, it’s because your intuition is telling you to do so.

Often people have come to the end of the road of whatever career they’re in, no longer passionate, no longer loving it, no longer feeling aligned with what they are doing. I advise them to thoroughly research the possibilities of the next potential career they are thinking about, and I recommend studying or taking a course to equip or enhance skill sets in their next chosen profession as well, whilst in the current job.

I also recommend meditating throughout this process so they can connect to their intuition and hear what it’s saying. Then I remind them that change is inevitable and change is good in most cases. There’s no use being afraid! There is always beauty and blessings on the other side after walking through the fear of change.

5. How do you help your callers deal with the day-to-day stresses of office life?
Alignment is everything and I educate my callers that being in alignment will best serve them in dealing with day-to-day work stresses. I give them the awareness and tools myself (or where to find them if we have limited time together) so they can start applying the tools that enhance their perception so they will become more solution-focused. This will help them remain balanced in the eye of adversity and during stress-related matters. It will also help them look for the good beyond challenges. There is a myriad of tools and awareness principals, and every client is unique, so it’s definitely tailored to the client and what’s happening in their environment.

6. Can you help a caller get a job?
Yes, I’ve helped callers get jobs many times. I have regulars who use me on a continuous basis to guide them through every step of the process in changing careers or getting a job. We might go through what to expect in interviews, do some role-playing, and get their energy aligned. I may help them visualize themselves successfully in the role to attract all sorts of opportunities and people along the way to their success.

7. What’s your best career reading success story?
I actually have a regular who owns an elite recruitment agency firm that recruits high-level executives for Fortune 500 companies. This client rings me on a regular basis with potential candidates he has that he wants to pitch, and I assist in narrowing down the candidates and the likelihood of success. So far, he has had a 95% success rate with placing his candidates in these great jobs with my help. That’s the feedback I’ve received from him.

I also have a regular who’s a student. I’m helping him through every step of his medical studies. I offer guidance to help keep him get aligned. The energy surrounding this event could be better, but at least we won’t see this configuration again until 2023. Big Career Moves

I give career advice readings and I especially enjoy helping women who are uncertain about their professional futures or who don’t know which career path to take. I’d like to share with you the story of two women— “Catherine” and “Erin.” “Catherine” was experiencing intimidation when it came to her next big move while “Erin” was stuck in another dead-end job. Sound familiar? These women reached out to me for help and changed their lives in the process. Read their stories and see if they resonate with you and your career struggles.

“Catherine’s” Story

New York on Her Mind

“Catherine” was an orthopedic surgeon in a midsize American city. However, in order to further her career, she felt that she would need to move to a prestigious institution in New York. When “Catherine” read with me she expressed concern that there were no women in that department at the New York hospital. In fact, it was a real male bastion. Despite her very impressive background “Catherine” was reluctant to apply and the whole situation had left her full of frustration.

The Courage to Apply

I did a tarot spread and I saw that if “Catherine” got up the courage to apply, this would be a big win for her. However, my guides told me that it might take several tries. I advised her that persistence would pay off. That fall “Catherine” went through a series of interviews at this hospital and, as I had foreseen, she did not get the job on the first try.

Worth a Second Try?

Later, she called me for another reading and this time I saw remotely that she would get the job on her second try. “Catherine” called me periodically through the summer for updates so I could take a fresh look at her situation. Sales or Marketing

Astrology Sheds Some Light

We decided to look at the transiting planets in her astrology chart which would shed some light on the situation and help us understand where her life was heading. During the course of our conversation and consulting the astrology chart it was very clear, there were a number of endings, changes and transformations taking place. So this would require her to take control of her own destiny in a way maybe she did not feel ready for.

Fearful About Her Income

We looked at the areas of life that had changed in the last six months and how they had affected her decision making and this brought to light part of the problem: She was fearful of not being able to survive financially if she did not have a regular income.
